Sketch: Assume the Party Escort Position

Portal
Been playing a lot of The Orange Box lately. This was originally going to be a sketch from Team Fortress 2, but Portal is so much more fun. Honestly one of the best, funniest games I’ve played in years. It’s short but sweet; like a giant Zelda dungeon as a game.

Almost forgot to add in Companion Cube… how could I ever forget? Cube 4-ever. I’d never throw you into a fire.

Blog: What’s your favorite Breakpoint City comic?

Blog: October 24th, 2007

Over a year ago, we had a thread on the message boards about everyone’s favorite episode of Breakpoint City. I’ve been meaning to add some sort of ranking system to the site ever since. The aim here is to help new readers quickly get to comics that our veteran fans highly recommend.

So for this week’s experiment, I’m trying out a voting system. Each comic in the archive has a little “Recommend this” button at the bottom, and the comics with the most votes will appear in a list in the sidebar. I’ve already added a bunch of my favorite comics to the list, so feel free to do the same. It would help me out a ton.

Will be interesting to see where this goes. Thanks to Blue Hat SEO for the plugin!

Blog: Mario Galaxy soundtrack is powerful stuff

Blog: October 19th, 2007

I don’t know about you, but to me, a video game’s musical score plays a large part in determining it’s greatness. A game can be truly awful in every other aspect, but I’ll still play it to hear the ice level’s theme again.

There hasn’t been much talk about it, but Nintendo’s got something really great planned for Super Mario Galaxy’s soundtrack. They’re using a live orchestra for several of the game’s tracks, and the result is stunning. Give these two songs a listen… it’s way beyond what I expected.

Song 1
Song 2

Man, Galaxy’s going to make me feel like I’m eight again. At least I won’t have to blow out the cartridge to get it working.
