My fave is probably 2. I still remember owning that dragon in Wily's Castle with the pink boomerang gun.

Second fave might be 3. Though X1 was pretty awesome. The only game after X6 that I've played is Zero 4, which was actually fairly good. None of the PlayStation titles and after were any fun in my opinion. After the SNES it all went downhill...it seems they suddenly thought it mandatory to have bosses' weapons be junk, or the game would be too easy. -reminisces fondly of the Metal Blade and counts down days until 9 comes out-

I believe 20XX is more accurate. Although it was 1985 back then, I don't think they thought that in 20 years the world would be like it is in the Megaman series. Too bad they had to use 200X and assume an error window of only 10 years. That's suicide when predicting the future.

I've never actually played any of the older games. Too bad for me; I think Battle Network was actually the best one; in the original games, the missions were way too hard.

My favorite Mega Man? Mega Man Battle Network 6. By far. Even better than Mega Man 2.

Nah, just kidding. Actually, probably my favorite one is Mega Man 5 for the Gameboy, which, to this date, is the only Mega Man game I've actually ever finished.
